Mission, Vision and Values of the Institute

Mission

The California Affordable Housing Institute is a creative collaborative of individuals and organizations dedicated to enriching the lives of people with developmental disabilities. Our primary focus (purpose) is to advance the development of quality, affordable housing options throughout the State of California.

Vision

To be the leader in the development of initiatives throughout California and the United States to address housing needs for people with developmental disabilities.

Values

To encourage the development of affordable housing options in collaboration with local community partners that include choice in housing, maximum community participation and use of best practices. To value and support those who encourage inclusive communities, maximize financial resources, build community partnerships, and promote creative solutions to meet the need for affordable housing.
